New Silent Hill Game...NOT Shattered Memories, NEWNEW.
It better not be like Homecoming or i'm going to stab someone with a Great Knife.
Hmm...yeah, i'm feeling pretty antsy about more getting said.
E3 is far away...hahaha, not really. JUNE. I can't wait to know more. I'm wondering what they're planning on doing for music and things, whoever fills in for Akira has some MASSIVE shoes to fill.

Shattered Memories Review
If anyone's surprised that I have a blog dedicated to ranting, applauding, crying and overall just blogging about Silent Hill game facts and useless things probably no one cares about, then you don't know me very well. ;)
~~~~~~~~~
Alright, so...it's been awhile now since I played Silent Hill:Shattered Memories. I played it for the Wii, waited two agonizing months at work so I could rent it for free, got every ending in 4 days of playing. Excellent.
I was both excited for this and skeptical as hell when I heard they were 're-imagining' the first game...and for the Wii/PS2 no less. I love my fat, senile PS2 to death, but...I haven't had many 'happy amazing game play' with my Wii. My excited overwhelmed my criticism though, and I couldn't wait to play it.
Easily excitable about anything Silent Hill, especially a 'new' game...well...I giggled like a japanese school girl just at the psychology warning before the title screen. Started playing, took my first psych. test and away went the game. It was really weird at first to actually have so much control with the way you walk, run and look at things. Instead of the older titles just being sort of...well, if you've played them you know what I mean. Lots of overhead views and not much for being able to view things, etc.
Once I got used to the controls, wandered around...already feeling the lonely, cold atmosphere of it all, being so involved, you get swept into it pretty fast,which for me is automatic game love.
The first run in with the Raw Shocks was frustrating more than frightening, wii-mote controls aren't the most helpful when you're trying to shove them off of you from the sides. After numerous deaths and swearing already, feeling like a complete n00b, considering it was the first run in with them.
I won't go much farther into it all, but mainly...I did really love that they utilized the wii controls to a very good extent, it was fun picking things up, turning them, opening locks, etc. I felt like it added more to the atmosphere. All in all, this is one of my favorites. After getting all the endings, you realize just how much changes WHILE you're playing, the way characters appear, the way voicemail clues turn out, the way characters act towards you, all because of what you do during the game, most of which you don't even realize you're doing anything significant towards how your game shapes up. It's amazing.
